Let me stretch out your rubberneck for you….

Welcome to the holidays, and welcome to the thrill ride that is called “traveling during the holidays”.
I understand that there is a lot of people traveling at this time of year, wanting to get to their destination of choice, whether it be with family or friends or whatnot, as soon as possible.
I can understand the short tempers and fatigue due to traffic, backups, and accidents, and the dread that is associated with holiday traveling.
But what I don’t understand, is if people are in a hurry to get to their holiday destination, why do people have to slow down and watch people and cars on the freakin’ side of the road??!?!?!?
Unless you are able to stop and give assistance, do not slow down. Do not remove the focus of vision from the road and the moving cars around you to watch the people on the side of the road. And most of all, do not hit the brakes when people who are trying to get to their destination honk at you because you are driving 20 miles below the speed limit on the highway to rubberneck!
