The Green Machine

I’m a big fan of motorcycles. It’s definitely one of my top ten goals to live somewhere that is friendly to riding on a year-round (or almost year-round) basis. However, even though they are very fuel efficient in comparison to trains, planes, and automobiles, they do use gas.
However, an alternative has arrived…
ENV bike

Called ENV, (yes, it’s a double-entendre) it’s the first hydrogen fuel-cell powered bike.
Alas, it’s got some issues. First off being that it’s max speed is 50mph (ack!), which would turn off most (if not all!) motorcycle enthusists. However, it’s good for those who want a better alternative to scooters in the city. The second main issue is that life of the fuel cell isn’t too long – about 100 miles before it needs to be recharged.
It’s a good start, though I would also think about making it heavier. At 80kg (176lbs) with the fuel cell, it’s light enough for one person to pick up by themselves.
